Tatoo Lady

No this is not ink on paper! This is my paper cut. Each one of those curlycues is hand cut from the white paper. I drew the design first on the paper and then cut it out. It is a very daunting, tedious and at times frustrating process but in the end you get something that is unique (and more so in person). It is originally of a classmate of mine, but may not look exactly like her now. I'm calling it the Tatoo Lady because she looks like she has extreme henna tatoos all over her body.

  2. I really like this. It looks like you drew the print on her face! I think it was the best paper cut out in the class.

  4. This is awesome! I think your piece is probably the best of the class. You did really well with cutting the tiny details and it shows. I can't believe you were able to finish in time!

  5. Little Me! I love it Madeline. The detail is so magnificant that it makes the viewer look really closely at everything. It's also really well balanced.
