Tatoo Lady
No this is not ink on paper! This is my paper cut. Each one of those curlycues is hand cut from the white paper. I drew the design first on the paper and then cut it out. It is a very daunting, tedious and at times frustrating process but in the end you get something that is unique (and more so in person). It is originally of a classmate of mine, but may not look exactly like her now. I'm calling it the Tatoo Lady because she looks like she has extreme henna tatoos all over her body.

This is a beautiful peice Madeline.I wouldn't get that extensive tatoo but it is a very nice one. ^ ^ Your eye for detial and patiants* to cut those tiny peices are very pretty. Keep it up girl.
ReplyDeleteI really like this. It looks like you drew the print on her face! I think it was the best paper cut out in the class.
ReplyDeleteI think this is really awesome. The lines are so delicate and intricate. The part in her hair looks really cool, it deffinatley shows your patience!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! I think your piece is probably the best of the class. You did really well with cutting the tiny details and it shows. I can't believe you were able to finish in time!
ReplyDeleteLittle Me! I love it Madeline. The detail is so magnificant that it makes the viewer look really closely at everything. It's also really well balanced.
